The human foot is an extemely complex anatomical structure made up of 26 bones, 33 joints, 19 muscles, 10 tendons and 107 ligaments which work together to carry out highly precise movements. Humans are the only creatures on earth to walk fully upright on two legs. With every step, each foot supports two and a half times the weight of the body. The soles of the feet have more than 7000 nerve endings.
There are approximately 250,000 sweat glands in a pair of feet which excrete up to half a pint of moisture daily.
The feet are the body's daily interface with the ground and each structure within the foot plays an important role as we walk, run and stand.
Your feet are truly amazing. Take good care of them!
