Hot stone therapy

The ancient healing art of stone therapy using various massage tecniques and warm stones relaxes the body at its deepest level and encourages harmony and balance.

Hot basalt stones have been used therapeutically for centuries. These high density volcanic rocks hold heat efficiently and can be included in a reflexology treatment to enhance the benefits. The heat from the stones penetrates to a deeper level and is estimated to be five times more effective than finger pressure alone, allowing more in-depth treatment, releasing tension, calming the senses and encouraging deep relaxation. The stones are used both statically and dynamically depending on the required effect.

This wonderful treatment is warming, soothing, melts away tension and muscle stiffness leaving you better able to cope with the stresses and strains of everyday life.

As an introduction to Hot Stones a standard reflexology session can be top and tailed with some Hot Stone techniques

A full Hot Stone reflexology session lasts 90 minutes and includes working up to the knee. Please wear loose legged trousers for this treatment to ensure they can be rolled up above the knee.

Cold Stones may be included in this session if desired. This is very invigorating and often beneficial after exercise.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy and no claims are made for diagnosis or cure.
It is not a substitute for medical treatment and advice.
